Governor Uba Sani is focused on the welfare of pilgrims, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and spiritually enriching Hajj experience, according to Malam Salihu S. Abubakar, the Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency.
The Chairman shared this insight during the launch of the Public Enlightenment Programme, commonly referred to as BITA, at the Kinkinau Qur'anic Recitation Centre, aimed at facilitating seamless operations for the 2026 Hajj.
Represented by the Administrative Secretary, Malam Baba Rufa’i, the Executive Chairman emphasized that the BITA programme is a vital component of the Agency’s Hajj preparations, intended to educate, inform, and guide prospective pilgrims on their sacred journey to the Holy Land.
A statement from the Agency’s Public Relations Officer, Ibrahim Datti Makarfi, indicated that the Chairman urged the intending pilgrims to take the enlightenment programme seriously by asking pertinent questions and strictly following all guidelines.
The statement also expressed gratitude to Islamic scholars, facilitators, media partners, and all stakeholders for their collaboration and support in ensuring a smooth Hajj operation.
The Enlightenment Programme covered topics such as Hajj rites and obligations, health and safety measures, Saudi laws and regulations, as well as the importance of discipline, patience, good conduct, and unity among pilgrims.
During the event, the Chairman praised the Governor for the ongoing reconstruction of the Kaduna State Hajj Transit Camp at Mando, calling it a significant achievement in enhancing the welfare of pilgrims.
Malam Salihu assured that the project will be completed before the start of the 2026 Hajj operations, stating that the camp will feature facilities that meet modern standards, providing decent accommodation with improved sanitation, and better medical and welfare services.
The Chairman also acknowledged the Governor's unwavering support, visionary leadership, and dedication to the welfare of pilgrims, highlighting his people-centered and compassionate leadership style.
