Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has stated that the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s administration is not just a political slogan, but rather a well-structured national rescue initiative.
The Governor emphasized that the Agenda is designed to restore macroeconomic stability, stimulate production, create jobs, and lift millions out of poverty.
“It aims to create the conditions necessary for enterprises to thrive, instill confidence in capital investment, and allow every Nigerian, regardless of their place of birth, state of origin, social, or religious affiliations, to aspire to dignity and prosperity,” he added.
Governor Uba Sani made these remarks in his role as Chief Host at the 65th Independence Anniversary Lecture, organized by Arewa Think Tank, with the theme “The Journey So Far with the Renewed Hope Agenda in View.”
He noted that Kaduna State has embraced the essence and spirit of the Renewed Hope Agenda, mentioning that his administration has completed several abandoned projects and is close to finishing all remaining ones.
According to him, the effects of the Renewed Hope Agenda are gradually becoming evident across various sectors of the economy and the nation’s socio-political landscape.
“We have observed renewed momentum in fiscal reforms, security management, educational expansion, and infrastructure revitalization. Across the North, a quiet renaissance is taking place.
“Roads and bridges are connecting communities; markets are coming back to life; the long-ignored rural economy is awakening once more. In agriculture, the lifeblood of the North, we are experiencing an unprecedented transformation.
“Farmers are now utilizing solar-powered irrigation systems and mechanized tools; climate-smart innovations are redefining rural livelihoods; agribusiness is taking the place of subsistence farming.
“No administration in our history has empowered subnational governments in agricultural transformation as significantly as President Tinubu’s,” the Governor revealed.
Reiterating that his administration is on the cusp of completing all abandoned projects, the Governor asserted that he is doing so “not for accolades, but to restore trust in governance. We are investing in sustainable institutions rather than fleeting monuments.
“We are providing opportunities to those whom fortune has overlooked, and we are building a state characterized by inclusion, discipline, and accountability. Our objective is clear: to make Kaduna a model of pragmatic reform and human-centered development within the broader federation,” he concluded.
