Kachalla Alti, the younger brother of the late Kachalla Dan Isihu, has emerged as a key figure within armed bandit networks operating in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State, following the death of his brother during counter-banditry operations by Nigerian security forces.

The development was contained in a post shared on X on Tuesday by security analyst Bakatsine.

According to the post, Kachalla Alti was previously a loyal associate of notorious bandit leader Adamu Aleru but has since taken on a more active operational role after his brother was killed several months ago.

Makama linked Alti’s faction to a surge in violent activities across communities in Tsafe, particularly along the Danjibga axis.

“These activities reportedly include mass kidnappings for ransom, armed highway robberies, ambushes on civilian vehicles, the burning of cars on major roads, and sustained intimidation of residents,” he said.

According to Bakatsine, the rising attacks have further worsened the security and humanitarian situation in the area.
