JOSKO GVARDIOL swapped the football field for the battlefield as he completed a “real commando mission”.
The defender put himself through “the ultimate mental and physical prep for the upcoming season” as he turned into reality.





Gvardiol, 23, shared snaps to his showing him spending his summer break taking part in a Commando Squad 9 event.
The company claim to the first ever tourist agency to “transform legendary war games into reality”.
That means getting dressed up in full commando gear and carrying around airsoft guns to get the experience of being part of a virtual warzone during multi-day holiday packages.
The packages, which take place in Gvardiol’s home nation of , start from a whopping £7,000.
Pictures uploaded by showed him hiking through fields, blending in with nature and even getting out on the water.
In his caption the centre-back wrote: “I’ve always wanted to know what it feels like to be part of a special forces team and complete a real commando mission.”
The unusual off-season activity sparked confusion amongst Gvardiol’s comments section.

Gvardiol is enjoying an extended break from Man City training after the club’s participation in the this summer.
While most Premier League teams are already deep into their preparations, City and are yet to return to training after the US tournament drew to close earlier this month.
Both teams are set to get back to work soon with the first weekend of the new season now fast approaching.
Gvardiol and City kick off their league campaign with a trip to face Wolves on August 16.
