According to the NHS, lipoedema is a chronic condition that affects fat and connective tissue.

It causes a build-up in the legs, hips, buttocks, and sometimes the arms.

The condition affects both sides of the body equally and is significantly more prevalent in women than in men.

For some individuals, this condition can greatly affect daily life, physical health, and emotional well-being.

A well-known figure has also previously discussed her own lipoedema diagnosis.

She opted to undergo a procedure on her legs – but the reality star mentioned that her legs would always remain ‘size 14’ despite regular exercise.
