People have been left stunned after discovering where JoJo Siwa’s name came from
They only made the connection when her friend Kendall K introduced “Joelle Joanie” in a video on her TikTok page
JoJo became a household name after she first appeared on Dance Moms back in 2015
The revelation emerged thanks to a video shared by her pal Kendall K from Kalani Hilliker’s wedding.
“Never before seen footage of Joelle Joanie in a dress!” Kendall began, before turning the camera to JoJo twirling around in a purple bridesmaids dress.
“I feel like Rapunzel,” JoJo, who usually wears tomboyish clothes, said in the clip.
However, in the comments section, people were actually more surprised by than her stunning dress.
“I’m sorry, JOELLE JOANIE???” one wrote.
“Never would I have guessed that was why she was called JoJo lol,” another admitted.
“Who is JOELLE JOANIE?” a third yelled.
“Joelle Joanie!” someone else exclaimed.
“Love it!”
“Joelle… EXCUSE ME…. ALL THESE YEARS,” another sighed.
“HER NAME IS JOELLE????? iconic,” someone else said.
“I never asked myself her actual name until to this very moment, JOELLE JOANIE??” another laughed.
“How didn’t I ever know that was her real name – I’m baffled!” someone else admitted.
But others insisted they’d known for years that JoJo’s given name is Joelle Joanie Siwa.
“JOelle JOanie!!! I thought that was obvious!” one said.
“You can literally google her real name it’s Joelle Joanie Siwa,” another added.

JoJo Siwa went public with hers and Kath Ebbs’ relationship in January 2025.
The Dance Moms star had been introduced to 27-year-old Australian content creator Kath by a mutual friend called G-Flip six months earlier.
JoJo had split with her girlfriend Dakayla Wilson in November 2024 and it is believed she hooked up romantically with Kath soon after.
Speaking in March at the 36th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, JoJo said of her relationship: “I am so happy. I am in a very mature relationship, and it’s beautiful. It’s taught me so much about life.
“It’s taught me so much about love and respect, and it’s a beautiful thing.
“It’s different in more ways than I can count. I wouldn’t even know what to say the biggest is ‘cause just everything is so different and special.”
Kath even claimed they had talked about marriage together.
However, JoJo’s romance with Kath abruptly hit the skids on April 25, 2025, at the Celebrity Big Brother wrap party.
JoJo dumped Kath at the bash after spending 19 days in the CBB house – where she had grown close to Love Island star Chris Hughes.
“If that’s her legal name.. I love it!! It’s so cute,” a third gushed.
“I’m too old if people are just learning that her name is Joelle Joanie,” someone else laughed.
As another said they wanted to launch a “petition for her to rebrand as Joelle Joanie”.
