ICONIC US rocker Joan Jett has been forced to cancel her upcoming gigs following a painful injury.
The Bad Reputation hitmaker, 67, had undergone orthopedic surgery on a fractured vertebrae.

The singer has cancelled two upcoming tour dates as she recovers from the recent surgery.
A statement was shared on the star’s Instagram and read: “Following a recent injury, Joan Jett has undergone orthopedic surgery on a fractured vertebrae and will begin the necessary healing process.
“In close consultation with her doctors, Joan will not be able to perform at her forthcoming September scheduled shows in Costa Mesa, CA on September 5 and in Louisville, KY on September 24.
“While Joan hates to disappoint fans, she will be taking this time to focus on physical therapy and healing.

“She’s looking forward to delivering tremendous concerts for many years to come.”
The two cancelled tour dates were the only remaining shows on Joan’s tour schedule.
It comes after Joan & the Blackhearts completed their first UK headline tour in 16 years, performing in London, Leeds and Manchester last month.
Just last month, the I Love Rock ‘N Roll singer was spotted at a popular Glasgow restaurant after popping in for a bite to eat.
The “Godmother of Punk” was all smiles as she posed with workers for a photo at Italian eatery La Lanterna.
Staff later took to social media and said they were “beyond honoured to welcome a true icon” through their doors.
And shared the photo on Instagram with their followers.
The post read: “ROCK ROYALTY AT LA LANTERNA.
“The Godmother of Punk Rock herself, Joan Jett, graced us with her presence at La Lanterna Hope Street!
“From ‘I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll’ to a love of great Italian food – we were beyond honoured to welcome a true icon through our doors.
“Thank you for choosing us, Joan – Glasgow (and La Lanterna) will always have a soft spot for rock legends!”
It comes after Joan Jett and the Blackhearts performed at Glasgow‘s O2 Academy last month.
The gig was the band’s first headline performance in 16 years.
They then supported My Chemical Romance and Sammy Hagar across the UK.
Joan is considered an influential figure in popular rock music .
Following the success of her self-titled debut record, Jett founded her backing band, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.
Their 1981 album, I Love Rock ‘n Roll, peaked at number two on the US Billboard 200.
And its lead single, I Love Rock ‘n Roll, became Jett’s signature song and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2016.
Other popular songs include Bad Reputation and I Hate Myself for Loving You.
