He said the revenue figure is nearly three times of what was generated during the same period in 2024 where 9.175 billion naira was generated

Sabo also stated that in May 2025 alone, the service collected over five billion naira as tax, and over six billion naira in June.

According to him, monthly revenue has steadily increased due to new strategies implemented by the agency.

He added that the state revenue service was making efforts to recover around 8.9 billion naira in Pay As You Earn tax from the Federal Inland Revenue Service, due to Jigawa State.

Sabo assured the state government of the agency’s commitment to continue generating revenue to support development projects across the state.
