Jigawa State Governor Malam Umar Namadi has relieved Rabi’u Garba Kaugama of his appointment as Special Adviser to the Governor on National Assembly Matters.

The decision is with immediate effect.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer, Office of the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State.

The statement said all the rights and privileges Kwugama was enjoying as a special adviser have been withdrawn from him.

“With this development, all rights and privileges attached to his Office as Special Adviser to the Governor on National Assembly Matters have been withdrawn.”

The statement further directed the former special adviser to immediately hand over all government properties in his possession to the Office of the Secretary to the Government of Jigawa State.

The reason for the termination is not clear at the time of filing this report.

DAILY POST reported that recently, the Senior Special Assistant on Health Monitoring to the Jigawa State Government, Zakari Sidi Kafin Hausa, resigned from his position.

Zakari stated that his decision was prompted by “current political developments in the state” and his intention to pursue opportunities in the private sector.
