JEFF BEZOS is set to join the minted club of Premier League owners.

The chief is reportedly , with Sky News reporting a deal could be announced as early as this week.

The investor group is headed up by Amit Bhatia, who was previously a long-term shareholder at , and has a net worth of around £23billion to his name.

However, that pales in comparison to Bezos, who reportedly has a staggering wealth of £213bn – with only ‘s and co-founder Larry Page worth more.

But how does he stack up in the Premier League owners rich list?

SunSport has taken a look at the personal wealth of league owners, and ranked the top 10 if Bezos and co complete their stunning move.

1. Public Investment Fund – £1.2trillion

It is a bit tricky to calculate your net worth when it is directly tied to a country… but that is the sort of headache Newcastle have, which normally wouldn’t be much of an issue.

However the long arm of financial fair play rules has put a stop to the limitless spending once seen by the likes of and , with Toon being forced to operate effectively with one hand behind their back since the takeover of the Saudi Public Investment Fund in 2021.

2. Liverpool – FSG + Jeff Bezos consortium* – £265bn+

As it stands, Liverpool are not even in the top 10 when it comes to the wealth of their owners, despite being the joint most successful club in in terms of league titles, and the clear best in terms of European trophies.

Fenway Sports Group bought Liverpool in 2010, but they could now see their capital bolstered by the Bezos backed syndicate which also includes co-founder Eduardo Saverin – worth £25bn – and Amit Bhatia – worth £23bn.

3. Manchester City – Sheikh Mansour/Silver Lake – £24bn

The Newcastle before Newcastle, Manchester City are the original so-called oil club of the Premier League, and made the most of their limitless spending to put them in a position to win titles since the takeover in 2008.

‘s personal wealth is a staggering £20billion, then you can add the Silver Lake group’s own financial muscle to take City’s total ownership worth to £24bn.

4. Manchester United – Glazers/Ineos – £20bn

Sir Jim Ratcliff is Britain’s richest man, but he is limited with his investment into Man Utd by only having a minority stake in the club which he bought in 2023 and completed in 2024.

The Glazers ownership of United was completed in a leveraged buyout back in 2005, but fans have made their feelings perfectly clear about it since then with a seemingly never-ending stream of protests.

5. Chelsea – Clearlake – £19bn

and Behdad Eghbali led a group of investors from Clearlake capital in acquiring Chelsea from – and the UK government – in 2022.

They are worth around £19bn, and have flexed those muscles in the transfer market, even if many of the deals have not worked out and performances on the pitch are not reflecting it.

6. Arsenal – Stan Kroenke – £16bn

American billionaire acquired a majority share in 2011, four years after becoming a minority shareholder.

Like United fans, Gooners were not happy at the team’s lack of success – even amid a stadium rebuild – before Stan’s son, Josh, took control of the club in 2018 and has overseen their rise to becoming Premier League champions once again.

7. Crystal Palace – Woody Johnson/Josh Harris – £13bn

Woody Johnson is one of several businessmen to own shares in , though his 43 per cent stake acquired from John Textor is the largest.

Alongside him Josh Harris, David Blitzer and club chairman Steve Parish make up the club’s ownership, which has seen surprise and wins come in the last two seasons.

8. Fulham – Shahid Khan – £11bn

Automotive parts manufacturer has a reported net worth of £11bn, and acquired in 2013 from .

Khan, who also owns the ‘s , oversaw the club’s yo-yo period in coming up to the Prem and falling back into the Championship between 2018 and 2022 before they settled and have remained ever since.

9. Aston Villa – Nassef Sawiris – £10bn

Egyptian billionaire Nassef Sawiris owns alongside American billionaire Wes Edens, making the club ownership worth an estimated £10bn following their purchase in 2018.

The club have since returned to the top flight and are now regulars under , while also just breaking the record for the biggest sale in Premier League history with the £117m they got from Chelsea for .

10. Everton – Friedkin Group – £9bn

The Friedkin Group, led by American billionaire Dan Friedkin, completed a majority acquisition of in 2024 which ended years of choppy waters for them under the previous ownership of .

TFG also own Italian side , but their biggest move with the Toffees has been to complete their move from Goodison Park to the Hill Dickinson Stadium in 2025.
