Now, it has been revealed that James is behind the music of a new musical, Murder At The Gates.
The album to go alongside the musical is set to be released in just two weeks time on 1 July, with pre-order now available.
The first song, titled “F***in’ scream’ features Stranger Things star Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin in the hit Netflix series.
With a 13-song tracklist, James has collaborated with several other stage and screen stars across the album.

The lyrics have been written by Tony and Grammy Award winning writer Steven Sater.
In a new snap with Steven, James is seen sat at a piano and donning sunglasses while working on the music.
While he also posed alongside actor Gaten for another as they spent time together in the studio.
Murder At The Gates’ cast is yet to be revealed, with the musical centred around a murder mystery themed party which turns into a real murder.
This will mark James’ first musical work since he pulled out of Busted’s tour alongside pals McFly last September, just hours before they were due on stage.
At the time, he cited the reason for pulling out as “health” problems and said he “hoped to ”.
In April, James opened up to Busted fans in the hopes it would .
“Hopefully [the surgery will] make me well enough to come back to what I love the most which is touring and making music. It really sucks to be out of the game,” admitted James on his story.
The star has been keeping a low profile since, with his Instagram account mysteriously disappearing earlier this month.
