NEWLY single Jake Quickenden is reportedly gearing up to don the sequins and take part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
While fans are thrilled at the prospect of the star signing up for the BBC ballroom show, one person we’re told isn’t looking forward to his possible turn on the dancefloor is his estranged wife

It’s believed Sophie, 33, is struggling with the prospect of her soon-to-be ex-husband falling victim to the and doing more than just dancing with his professional partner.
The influencer is said to be worried that the man she was could fall for someone new in front of millions as his potential journey on the show unfolds.
A source close to Sophie said: “Jake hasn’t signed on the dotted line for Strictly yet but he is in advanced talks and strongly in the mix. Sophie supports Jake and wants him to do well at everything in life, but this is bittersweet for her.
“One the one hand, she wants him to get on the show and go all the way, but she’s human and she doesn’t relish the idea of him being partnered up with a really hot pro dancer while the split is still incredibly fresh.
“She knows bosses will want to pair a ripped, single bloke like Jake with one of the sexy female pros who are also available and the romantic speculation is what keeps the show on everyone’s lips.”
Jake and Sophie split recently after eight years together and share two children, Leo, five, and 17-month-old Kit.

Sophie is now said to be thinking about which professional dancer could be paired with Jake, 37.
The source continued: “One of her biggest fears is that producers will partner him with one of the show’s stunning professional dancers.
“In her mind, it’s almost inevitable he’ll end up with someone glamorous, sexy and charismatic like Jowita [Przystal], Katya [Jones] or Alexis [Warr]. Like Jake, Alexis is recently single after a marriage breakdown, so there’s every chance they could be paired together.
“If that happens, Sophie knows exactly what comes next – endless speculation that they’re secretly falling for each other.”

The so-called Strictly curse has claimed a string of famous couples over the years. Former rugby ace left his wife and later found love with professional dancer , while and Kevin Clifton began a romance after winning the show together.
Meanwhile, comedian and sparked one of the programme’s biggest-ever scandals when they were photographed sharing a kiss.
The source added: “Strictly has a reputation for sparking romances and Sophie can’t escape that. She’s already bracing herself for the headlines, the social media frenzy and people dissecting every look, every touch and every performance. It’s not going to be pleasant for her”
The insider said: “The idea of watching Jake draped over a beautiful dancer every Saturday night is not ideal.
“While she knows it’s all part of the show, emotionally she’s just not in a place where she can separate the dancing from everything that’s happened in her own life.
“She knows her marriage coming to an end was the right decision for them both, and they still love and respect each other, but Sophie is still heartbroken that it didn’t work between them. She knows someone as fit as Jake won’t be single for long, and when you are spending so much time working so closely with your pro dancer, attraction sparks.”
The Sun has approached Sophie for comment.
Meeting in 2018, Jake popped the question in 2021 after three years of dating, and the pair tied the knot the following year.
At the time of their split, friends close to the couple insisted things were amicable and they were focusing on co-parenting their children.
Our source said at the time: “While they might not be together any more, they are still on great terms and are looking to the future, co- together. Maintaining a happy and supportive family unit together is their focus now.”
Jake is expected to join star , Love Island’s Dani Dyer and singer Delta Goodrem on the forthcoming series.
So far, Lacey, Dani and Delta are among the names linked to the new run, while Jake, and have all been tipped for the famous ballroom.
