Michael De Cozar, star of ITV’s Inside The Ritz, has died aged 69.

Michael’s death was confirmed by The Ritz where they said they were “deeply saddened” to hear the passing of their “dear colleague”.

In a statement posted to , the luxury hotel said: “We are deeply saddened to confirm the passing of our Head Hall Porter and dear colleague, Michael De Cozar.

“Michael was a cherished member of the Hall Porter team and dedicated 53 years of his life to The Ritz London.

“Throughout his remarkable career, he became a much-loved and familiar face to generations of colleagues and guests alike.

“We are profoundly grateful for Michael’s dedication, loyalty, and exceptional service to The Ritz.

“His warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of working with him, as well as by our many guests who knew and loved him.

“Our thoughts are with Michael’s family and loved ones at this difficult time.”
