A HIT ITV daytime quiz show has landed another spin-off by bosses as a secret pilot episode is recorded.

Execs at the channel are quietly plotting another version of The Chase – and it's nothing like the current spin-off.

Production listings reveal a new competition spin-off is in the works and a pilot episode was recorded.

Website TVZone reports the pilot – which won't be broadcast on television – was produced last month.

The yet-to-be announced spin-off is being made by Potato – the same production company behind the regular series of The Chase.

The show, hosted by , has aired over 2,500 episodes across 18 series since its launch.

In 2020, ITV successfully launched – a spin-off to the regular series that sees all five chasers appear in each episode.

Payers have to answer a number of multiple choice questions to build up their cash-pot and eventually take on the group.

Each Chaser will then offer time and money depending on the contestant's ability.

Their choice results in a nail-biting head-to-head race against the clock.
