This tragic incident resulted in the deaths of his personal trainer, Kevin Latif Ayodele, and his strength and conditioning coach, Sina Ghami.
In a message shared on his verified Facebook page on Thursday, the former heavyweight champion reflected on how difficult this time has been for him.
Joshua recognized that the situation is “even tougher” for the families of the deceased.
He wrote, “Thank you for all the love and support you have shown my brothers. I didn’t fully appreciate how special they were.
“I would often walk alongside them and share jokes, unaware that God had placed me in the company of remarkable individuals.
“Without a doubt, it’s hard for me, but I understand it’s even harder for their parents. I possess a strong mind, and I trust that God knows their hearts. May God have mercy on my brothers.”
