Inzaghi officially departs Inter Milan after Champions League final defeat

Published on June 03, 2025 at 07:59 PM

Simone Inzaghi, on Tuesday, officially left his position as Inter Milan manager.

This comes days after they were hammered 5-0 by Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final.

“The time has come for me to say goodbye to this club after a run of four years during which I gave everything,”; Inzaghi said in a letter to fans.

He is now expected to move to Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League.

Al Hilal are believed to have reportedly offered Inzaghi over €20 million per season.

Inzaghi led Inter to the Serie A title last year, and he was also in charge when the Nerazzurri lost the 2023 Champions League final to Manchester City.

It’s unclear now who will manage Inter at the Club World Cup in the United States, which starts on June 14.

The Nerazzuri play Monterrey on June 17, a fixture that comes a day before Al Hilal take on Real Madrid.
