THREE people have died trying to rescue a woman who was swept out to sea.
A couple were walking along a shoreline in Algarrobo, Chile, on Monday night when a strong wave knocked the woman down and dragged her into the sea.

Her partner immediately rushed into the water to try to save her, but soon began struggling against the powerful surf.
American-Chilean beer influencer Benjamin “Ben” Robert Wood, was among three people who rushed into the sea to try save the couple.
The woman who was swept out to sea was identified as lawyer and parliamentary adviser Patricia del Pilar Bello Labe, 26.
She sadly drowned before she could be saved, along with the three bystanders who tried to save her.
Ben’s father, Norman Ray Wood, 77, who was visiting Chile also died in the rescue attempt.
The final victim was María José Duarte Ureta, 47, Ben’s partner and head of sales at the brewpub Cervecería Tropera.
