“There are representatives from 200 different countries as well, in this room. So I would like, with your cooperation, to demonstrate to people around the globe what they can expect when they come to North America next summer.”
Infantino, 55, then asked those present at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts to cheer when their country was announced.
He also made headlines during the draw when there were concerns he might disclose confidential details about plans for a halftime show at the World Cup Final.
While on stage, Infantino presented United States President Donald Trump with the inaugural Peace Prize.
England secured their place in the World Cup after winning all their qualifying matches under head coach Thomas Tuchel.
Scotland confirmed their spot in the tournament last month.
