EPL: Ex-Man United man, Tim Howard picks perfect striker for Chelsea to sign

Former Manchester United goalkeeper, Tim Howard, has told Chelsea to sign Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap this year.

The striker is also.being targeted by Manchester United.

The 22-yesr-old has established himself as one of the top young strikers in the English top flight since the start of the 2024-25 campaign.

He has netted 12 times in 32 league appearances for Kieran McKenna’s side this season.

Speaking about the player, Howard told NBC Sports, “I think Chelsea are desperate for a striker. The Manchester United pull, I think for a player like him, it’s still there.

“Whether that feels different because he was a City player... I like the [the Blues’] young team. He goes into a young team and there’s goals there.”;

Delap, also linked with Manchester United, will see the end of his contract in June 2029.
