THE Inbetweeners stars Joe Thomas and James Buckley are buddying up and returning to Channel 4 for a brand new show.
The two lads, best known for respectfully , are set to front a new comedy travel series for the channel while exploring “how to (and not to) be a grown up”.
Joe and James: Boys to Men is a four-part series that’ll see the pair on the road as they enter their fourth decade.
“Joe recently entered his 40s and James is joining him there next year, so they’re embarking on an epic-ish journey to figure out what that means and what’s acceptable for them to be doing now they’re ‘grown up’,” reads the official synopsis.
“Who should and shouldn’t they be hanging out with and where can and can’t they go?”
Viewers can look forward to two different perspectives on middle age, from introspective and esoteric Joe to straight-talking, no-nonsense James.
“The pair will embark on a road-trip full of funny and unconventional adventures as they search for people and experiences that might give them some answers to their big (mid) life questions.”
The duo’s small-screen reunion comes amid filming for the rebooted third movie, which sees Joe and James back with (Will) and Blake Harrison (Neil) as the iconic teenage quartet.
While the TV series aired on Channel 4, the upcoming third filmed has been acquired by .
The Sun exclusively revealed last year that the hit with all of the stars keen to reunite.
However doubt remains over ‘s return, who played glamorous student Charlotte “Big Jugs” Hinchcliffe.
She has not been listed as one of the returning cast members, which begs the question if she will make a comeback.
creators Damon Beesley and Iain Morris will return to
write and direct the film.
Netflix shared a first photo of the film with The Sun, where the four lads are sat in the iconic yellow 1996 Fiat Cinquecento Hawaii edition car, owned by Simon in the TV series.
The new trailer shows the boys getting into the car but it struggles to start up initially, before finally it gets going and Simon drives it out of a garage.
There is also a big ‘3’ on the back of the window, in reference to the upcoming third instalment of the franchise.
Throughout the series, fans saw the gang drive around in the old motor with it a huge part of the show for fans.
