Popular TikTok personality Peller has finally spoken out following his arrest and detention by the Lagos State Police Command due to an incident involving reckless driving and an alleged suicide attempt.

In a video shared on social media, the content creator expressed regret over his actions and asked the public for forgiveness, stating, “I am sorry, Nigerians. Please, I’m truly sorry. I will never do this again. I’m very sorry, please. Currently, I am on medication. Once I finish my treatment, I will return online.”

The controversy is reportedly linked to Peller’s recent breakup with his girlfriend, Jarvis.

Jarvis had previously confirmed the end of their relationship, explaining that Peller’s struggles with emotional regulation significantly influenced her decision to leave.

Confirming the situation, the Lagos State Police Command stated that Peller was arrested after his actions were viewed as a deliberate attempt at self-harm and a serious risk to other road users.

According to police reports, the incident occurred on Sunday, December 14, 2025, when Peller was allegedly seen driving recklessly while livestreaming on social media, an act that reportedly led to a severe accident on the Lekki–Epe Expressway in Lagos.

Authorities further stated that the case has been referred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for a comprehensive investigation, noting that Peller will face court proceedings once the investigations are complete.

In response to the incident, the Commissioner of Police, Olohundare Jimoh, cautioned social media influencers and digital content creators against promoting or exhibiting reckless behavior online, stressing that such actions will face serious repercussions.
