“I don’t want to claim that Messi is superior to [Cristiano] Ronaldo. It’s quite challenging to compare them since they are different types of players.
“Ronaldo relies more on power and physicality, whereas Messi embodies intelligence; he focuses more on entertainment,” Matthaus remarked (via Times of India).
