Controversial Nigerian entertainer, Uche Maduagwu, has issued a public apology to singer Davido and his wife, Chioma Adeleke, for trolling them online.

He shared his apology in a video posted on his Instagram page on Thursday.

Expressing remorse for his repeated negative posts about the couple, Uche Maduagwu revealed that he was paid N2.5 million to target the singer and his family on social media.

While admitting that he was compensated along with four other Nigerian influencers to mock Davido online, Uche emphasized that the singer has done nothing wrong.

“I was paid to insult your wife and your family. I’m not the only one; there are five different influencers in Nigeria who were compensated. I urge others who were paid to belittle Davido to come forward and return the money that was given to them to criticize this man.

“He has not done anything wrong. I want to apologize to Davido; please forgive me. I accepted over N2 million to mock you, and I am truly sorry. Others, please return the money you received,” he stated.

In the caption of the video, he wrote: “God, I’m in TEARS now. I just want @davido to forgive me. We are five influencers who were paid to criticize Davido. Every negative comment you see about Davido and his wife online was paid for. Can you help me plead with 001 to forgive me?”
