Ipswich Town striker, Chuba Akpom, has again expressed his readiness to play for Nigeria.

Born to Nigerian parents in the UK, Akpom has represented England at under-16, 17, 19, 20, and 21 levels.

However, the 29-year-old has failed to break into the Three Lions team.

Akpom has also been continuously ignored by Nigeria, despite impressing at Middlesbrough and Ajax.

Speaking with TWTD, Akpom revealed he now owns a Nigerian passport and his agent is in contact with Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle.

“They’ve made me do the passport stuff. My agent has been in contact with the manager [Éric Chelle] and they’ve always liked me.

“If I was to get called up, it would be an honour of course,” Akpom said.
