Nigerian singer Tolibian has opened up about battling depression after the buzz around his viral hit, ‘Ramadan’, faded.

‘Ramadan’ became a social media sensation during the Ramadan fasting from February to March 2025. The social media buzz led to famous rapper Odumodublvck doing a remix version of the song with Tolibian.

In a recent conversation with content creator Akin Abolade, Tolibian revealed that he fell into depression after the short-lived success of the song.

“After the buzz of ‘Ramadan’ faded, I became depressed at some point,”; he said.

The singer, however, said he believes that the song would still trend during the next Ramadan, describing it as “evergreen.”;

Tolibian promised to keep trying until he gets his next hit.
