HUDDERSFIELD are thought to have found a site for their much-needed new stadium in the town.

But SunSport understands it is likely to be outside of its centre.

The Giants have conceded it is time to head out of the 24,500-seater Accu Stadium for a smaller home of their own.

Thousands of empty seats – about 20,000 of them at Friday’s clash with Wigan – suck any atmosphere right out of the large venue.

Now it is believed an area for an 8,000-10,000 capacity venue has been identified.

But unlike the Accu, it is understood to be on ‘s fringes.

Staying put for 2027 is an option for the club, which is currently bottom of .

But a temporary move to nearby Dewsbury, where they have staged games, looks more likely.

SunSport understands an announcement of the site is set to be made in the coming weeks.

The hope is they will be in it by 2030.
