Governor Uba Sani has received praise for the implementation of the Consolidated Polytechnics and Colleges of Education Academic Staff Salary Structure (CONPCAS) and the Consolidated Tertiary Institutions Salary Structure (CONTEDISS) for the staff of Kaduna state-owned tertiary institutions.

Head of Service, Mrs. Jummai Bako, expressed this commendation on Tuesday, noting that the new adjustment represents a significant achievement in the administration's commitment to staff welfare.

She pointed out that employees of state-owned institutions have begun to receive salary alerts and mentioned that the salary increase will enhance staff morale.

According to her, the entire workforce extends sincere gratitude to the Governor for his visionary leadership, responsive governance, and for honoring his commitment to the academic community.

“His actions once again demonstrate that he is a leader who is always ready to engage constructively to provide lasting solutions to issues concerning staff welfare,” she stated.

“This bold and compassionate decision reflects the Governor’s integrity, empathy, and steadfast dedication to good governance, social justice, and the ongoing harmony between the government and the workforce,” she added.

Mrs. Bako, however, urged the benefiting staff to enhance their productivity in order to reciprocate the Governor’s commitment to their welfare and the revitalization of the education sector.

It should be noted that the Governor approved the implementation of 70 percent of the 2024 CONPCASS/CONTEDISS salary structure for the staff of all state-owned tertiary institutions, effective October 2025, just last week.

In a joint press conference, union leaders commended his “listening leadership, transparency, and steadfast commitment to workers’ welfare and educational advancement in Kaduna State.”
