All the action is live on ITV1 and the big race of the day is the star-studded Prince Of Wales’s Stakes at 4.20pm.

GALIYAN (3.05 Ascot, nap)
Can gallop off with the Queen’s Vase. Andrew Balding’s colt shaped with promise when fourth over 1m2f at Newmarket, then looked a different animal when upped to 1m4f at Chester. He kept finding under pressure, hit the line strongly and Oisin Murphy has been speaking highly of his chances. This longer trip should bring out even more.
OMBUDSMAN (4.20 Ascot, nb)
Last year’s winner returns with an even stronger record after adding further Group 1 victories at York and Meydan. His turn of foot remains his greatest weapon and he confirmed he retains all his ability when conceding weight and winning the Brigadier Gerard on his latest start.
ALOBAYYAH (5.35 Ascot, treble)
Can land a plan in the Kensington Palace. William Haggas’s filly shaped like the one to take from course-and-distance handicap last month, flying home from the rear to finish third behind Radiant Beauty and Song N Dance. That steadily-run race favoured the front pair and there will be a breakneck pace here that will favour my fancy. She’ll come on for that run and has more to offer.

MORE CHAMPAGNE can have the corks popping.
The American filly looked all speed and swagger when bolting up by six lengths at Keeneland on debut, and the form has worked out.
Legendary pilot John Velazquez takes the ride and she has enough speed to hit the front and the stamina to keep going.
Senorita Bonita is a player after her sizzling late burst at Nottingham, while Wild Blossom looked electric when scoring by 10 lengths at Carlisle and trainer Karl Burke has won two of the past three runnings.
Victorious brings Group 3 form for Aidan O’Brien, though dropping back from six furlongs asks a slight question especially if the ground is lively and a low draw may not be ideal.
Ruiva gives Wesley Ward another major dart after a seven-length debut romp, and stablemate Shining Moment adds more US spice under Oisin Murphy.
Love A Giggle beat Armor Supreme in the Marygate and both have claims, with Lover Girl better than her York defeat after going off too quick.
Velozee is interesting back at five furlongs after not staying last time.
Alta Regina looked smart at Lingfield and could make extra places at a price, while Kentucky Rain could outrun huge odds after trouble in running on debut at Goodwood.

GALIYAN can gallop off with the Queen’s Vase.
Limestone is one to watch. Joseph O’Brien’s colt has won three on the spin and showed real guts when beating Asakir in a 1m5f Listed race at Navan.
Asakir is respected too, with cheekpieces added after chasing him home and pulling clear of the rest.
Port Of Spain shaped as though he wants a trip when fifth in the London Gold Cup at Newbury on comeback and should strip fitter, while Mr Colonel kept galloping when third in the Chester Vase.
Del Maro was touched off in a Goodwood Listed race but stamina is the worry over this trip.
The King and Queen’s Point Of Law has more to offer for the Gosdens.
He is bred to enjoy this sharp hike in distance and looks a decent price to make the frame.
Wareeth bolted up at Salisbury and is another who should enjoy this test although quicker ground would be a worry.
Unbeaten Ravenspire looks all stamina after grinding out novice wins at Southwell and Haydock but this is a lot hotter.

FRIENDLY SOUL can relaunch her career in style after a nightmare return at Haydock.
John and Thady Gosden’s mare was a serious operator at three, winning a Group 3 over this course and distance before landing the Group 1 l’Opera at Longchamp.
She was still travelling strongly when literally falling in a hole last time and can prove her class remains intact.
The Gosdens surely wouldn’t run her if she wasn’t over that.
Blue Bolt is a threat after quickening past Kon Tiki at Goodwood, having also finished second in last season’s Sun Chariot.
She likes this trip and quicker ground would be fine.
Kon Tiki should come forward from that run and still has scope.
Cathedral has top-level form, including fourth in last year’s Coronation over this track and trip, though stall 15 makes life tricky.
Jancis beat Cathedral in the Dahlia and will love a strong pace if it collapses late.
Godspeed brings French Group 2 form and was unlucky on return at Longchamp.
Catalina Delcarpio impressed at Leopardstown and has Royal Ascot form after her Ribblesdale third.
Snellen loves this meeting with a win and second from two runs and could outrun her odds.

OMBUDSMAN can retain his Prince Of Wales’s crown.
He landed a smooth comeback success in the Brigadier Gerard and will be at home on the quick ground.
His turn of foot remains his greatest weapon and he confirmed he retains all his ability when conceding weight and winning the Brigadier Gerard on his latest start.
Proven over course and distance, proven on good to firm ground and proven in top-class company, he arrives with very few questions to answer.
The ground is the unknown with reigning Arc champ Daryz who is top-class but likes a little give in the going description.
Even so, his profile is exceptional, he is improving, and he sets a high standard.
Almaqam took his form to a new level when landing the Tattersalls Gold Cup on seasonal return, beating Bay City Roller in a performance that has been strongly boosted since.
He had already shown he belonged at the top table when third behind Calandagan and Ombudsman over C&D in last season’s Champion Stakes.
Minnie Hauk is a high-class filly whose 2025 campaign featured victories in the Oaks, Irish Oaks and Yorkshire Oaks before she went down by a head to Daryz in the Arc.
Her reappearance win this season was good, while her subsequent defeat behind Almaqam is easier to forgive given she was reportedly found slightly lame afterwards.
She receives weight from the males, handles fast ground and has genuine Group 1 quality.

ERZINDJAN can make all his experience tell in the Royal Hunt Cup.
This eight-year-old ran the race of his life when winning at Newmarket on comeback last time and the booking of Ryan Moore is a plus.
His stall 24 should be ideal as you usually want to be high.
Scoville is a potential big improver for William Haggas and can figure despite stall nine not being ideal.
Mister Winston, La Botte and Fifth Column are all high on the shortlist.
While Linwood is an improving miler with three wins from five runs over the trip and Richard Hannon reckons his Classic could well be a Group horse in a handicap.

ALOBAYYAH can land a plan in the Kensington Palace.
Radiant Beauty is the obvious danger again after making all that day and Ryan Moore now takes over.
Song N Dance has place claims again from 1lb higher.
Stateira carries top weight but brings classy Group 2 form after an unlucky third at the Curragh. She won a couple of AW handicaps before that and will find this easier.
Miss Nightfall is interesting from a high draw and has solid Ascot handicap form, while Oolong Poobong ran a cracker when fourth in last year’s Sandringham and shaped well on return at Thirsk.
Rumba Numba is unexposed after a Doncaster win and is a fair 4lb higher here, while All Moonshine is seeking a hat-trick after a couple of minor wins and there’s more to come.
Rhapsody is another Haggas runner worth a look after a decent Listed run in Italy last time out in October.
6.10
ONE NUMBER adds up after an eye-catching debut at the Curragh.
Beaten two lengths by Celeron, he was the only one to make any ground from off the pace and finished like a rocket.
He looked badly in need of the experience that day and the switch to quicker ground could unlock plenty more improvement.
He looks the pick of the strong Joseph O’Brien team.
The whole Irish challenge looks strong.
Sergei Diaghilev is a major player after making a winning debut at The Curragh for Aidan O’Brien and Ryan Moore.
The Ballydoyle colt was strong at the line and has the profile of one destined for much bigger things.
Controlla brings the best piece of form on offer after chasing home Victorious in a Group 3 at Naas and must be feared if reproducing that promising debut effort even if she was on the quickest part of the track.
Celeron beat One Number fair and square at The Curragh and is entitled to progress again, while Ruler’s Control has been snapped up by powerful connections since winning on debut and could be anything.
Sale Shark also created a big impression at Hamilton and Oisin Murphy is a notable booking.
Among the other British-trained runners, Alfred Wallace appeals as one with a lot more to come after his Thirsk success, while Green Sovereign could be dangerous if building on his wide-margin Pontefract win with Tom Marquand riding.
