Horse racing tips: ‘He won here impressively last time out and was value for further’ – Templegate’s Friday NAP

Published on May 29, 2025 at 10:59 PM

TEMPLEGATE takes on Friday’s racing confident of bashing the bookies.

Back a horse by clicking their odds below.

PORT HEDLAND (5.15 Brighton, nap)

He was value for further than the official margin of half a length when scoring here last time. The handicapper has been more than fair with a 2lb rise and he gets on well with today’s claiming rider. He should have no trouble with this slightly longer distance.

SERGEANT MAYER (2.45 Carlisle, nb)

Escapes a penalty for his smooth success at Ripon last time. He is right at home over this minimum trip and goes on any ground. He has yet to finish out of the frame in seven races with cheekpieces and will be there again.

NOBLE HORIZON (2.55 Chepstow, treble)

Showed promise when third at Newmarket last time and will improve plenty for this step up in distance.

KELDEO (7.28 Catterick, Lucky 15)

She’s looking for her third win at this tricky track and is only 2lb higher than her last win. She’ll be on the premises again for Ollie Pears.
