THIS is the terrifying moment a horse and buggy smash into a motor and shatter its windscreen after its rider was knocked off by another car.
The horror incident happened on a major road in Harlow, , on Wednesday morning.

In shocking footage from inside the , a spooked horse with a trap attached is seen galloping straight toward the motor.
The driver can be heard screaming “oh my god” repeatedly as the rapidly approaches.
The horse then crashes straight onto the top of the , completely shattering the windscreen and covering the driver in glass.
Further footage shows the shaken driver climbing out of the vehicle to assess the damage as a woman rushes over to check on him.

An overturned buggy can be seen nearby while the Mercedes drivers’ seat is covered in glass and the wing mirror is completely destroyed.
Cops confirmed a collision involving a horse and cart and two cars in Katherine’s Way, Harlow, at around 6.30pm on Tuesday.
An Essex police spokesperson said: “Our enquiries are on-going.”
John Reilly, founder of the Gypsy Traveller League, claimed it was a who was on the horse and trap at the time of the incident.
He took to and claimed the “young lad” was knocked off by another driver after speaking to one of his family members.
“A young lad was out trotting his horse on his own, doing 10-15mph, trying to stretch the horse’s legs,” he said.
“A man has come along, has hit the cart and flipped the lad out of the cart.”
He added that it could have “ended very differently” but can confirm “he is okay”.
John continued to say it “could have ended very differently” and “I can confirm he is okay”.
“After the impact, the horse was spooked and ran off in fear which led to another incident involving a car,” he added.
The Sun has contacted Essex for comment.
It’s not the only instance of a horse and trap being involved in a road incident recently either.
A between a pony and trap and a huge tipper truck earlier this month.
The fatal smash also killed a man in his thirties and left a woman fighting for her life in hospital.
The trio were all passengers in the pony and trap which was hit by a truck in Kent on the evening of April 1.

Locals of the plush Gerrards Cross in , dubbed “mini Hollywood” due to the famous faces who live there, say the travellers use the roads as “their own racetrack”.
The local council is set to ban the unauthorised racing but locals told The Sun they fear it won’t stop travellers flying down the roads at a rate of knots, causing traffic, sudden breaking and near misses.
