Horror as one-year-old girl ‘falls from top floor bedroom window’ at block of flats

A ONE-year-old girl has been rushed to hospital after falling from the top floor of a block of flats.

The little girl fell from a window in , Wales, and is in hospital being treated for injuries.

Wales Air Ambulance and the Welsh Service were called to the flats in the Bettws area.

They were called following reports that a child had fallen out of a bedroom window.

The mother posted on social media, saying her daughter was left alone for five minutes as she went into the kitchen.

A spokesman for Gwent Police told WalesOnline : “We received a report of a medical emergency at Welland Crescent, Newport, at around 12.45pm on Tuesday, May 20.

“Officers attended along with paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service and Welsh Air Ambulance.

“A 17-month-old girl was taken to hospital for treatment. Her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.”;;
