"New 'Passenger' Trailer Sends Audiences Into a Frenzy with the 'Jump Scare of the Year'"

THE trailer for new horror film Passenger has cinema audiences ‘screaming out loud’ because of its ‘jump scare of the year’.

The stars Jacob Scipio and Lou Llobell as a couple whose road trip goes horribly wrong when they witness a fatal car accident.

“Last year, over 130 million people took road trips,” can be read at the start of the trailer.

It then cuts to a man getting out of the car to have a wee by a tree, leaving his friend in the car.

While passing urine, the car horn starts honking, with the man thinking it was his friend urging him to hurry up.

When the man got back to the car, his friend was gone.

“15,400 of them were never seen again,” can then be read on the screen before the trailer cuts back to actual footage again.

The man then gets back into the car and looks out of the windscreen pensively.

A man then catapults through the windscreen and lands in front of him.

“Help me,” the man says, covered in blood and cuts. He then gets dragged away at the speed of light.

Driving away, the man in the car puts his foot down and speeds away.

As he’s driving, which a huge hole in his windscreen, a man can be seen standing on the side of the road looking quite gormless.

The man drives past and continues to drive for quite a way.

He then comes across the same man standing on the roadside again before he turns his head and someone is sitting beside him screaming.

It was this jump scare that left viewers utterly horrified.

“Can’t remember the last time a trailer got me like that,” penned one person.

“Mini heart attack,” added a second.

“Absolutely sh*t my pants,” said a third.

While a fourth penned: “Just crapped my pants watching this but I will still be attending this movie.”

And a fifth added: “Genuinely one of the best jumpscares I’ve seen in a while.”

After the jump scare, the trailer continues to play out and show a young couple on a road trip.

After they witness a gruesome highway accident, a demonic presence called the Passenger won’t stop until it claims them both.

The couple notice three scratch marks on their van, which their adventure turned into a nightmare.
