THERE’S nothing worse than opening one of your kitchen cupboards, to be met with hundreds of falling Tupperware lids.
But one homeowner has shared a genius hack to avoid that ever happening again – and it means you can recycle an old kitchen item in the process.

Karete took to Facebook to share the clever trick, as he posted pictures of it in action.
In the snaps, he showed how he used a dishwasher rack to organise the lids – putting the circular ones with other circular ones, and rectangular ones with other rectangular ones.
“I took an old dishwashers’ racks and inserted them underneath a cabinet for pull out storage,” he wrote.
Thanks to the fact that the racks are on wheels, they are easily to pull out and access when you need one of the lids.
And people were quick to praise him for sharing the clever tip in the comments section.
“Very clever!” one gushed.
As another added: “What an incredible idea!”
Karete is no stranger to sharing clever hacks on the Upcycleit, Handmade & Crafters on the Tedooo app Facebook group.
He also showed how he managed to turn some bright and garish orange pumpkins into a chic Halloween ornament that looked a lot more stylish.
“I spent the last five years doing the whole ORANGE EVERYTHING vibe because that’s what you do right – plastic spiders everywhere, those inflatable garden things,” he wrote, alongside pictures showing the clever transformation.
“Grey and white craft paint and suddenly my tacky pumpkin tower looked like it belonged in some fancy farmhouse magazine!!
“Now I’m painting EVERYTHING. Those little plastic cauldrons? Elegant planters.
“Orange trick-or-treat buckets? Chic storage baskets.”
He added that even his neighbour stopped in their tracks after spotting the pumpkin tower by his door, as he said: “Turns out other people are also over the Halloween aisle explosion look too!”
“Anyway here’s my ‘elevated autumn aesthetic’ or whatever we’re calling the ‘I’m too tired for bright colours’ phase,” he concluded.
“Brilliant, much better than the tacky plastic things,” one person praised in the comments section.
What are the biggest kitchen trends of 2025?
The kitchen is the heart of every home and this year it’s taking centre stage, Tracy Coleman, Product Director at High Street TV told Fabulous.
Hardworking appliances
Space-saving essentials are needed in every room of the house, and the kitchen is no exception, meaning appliances are often doing double (or triple) the job.
Expect to see air fryer ovens that roast, bake, and fry or blenders with attachments for everything from chopping to grinding.
Health and wellness
With people becoming more mindful of what they eat and how it impacts their well-being, kitchen appliances are stepping up to
meet the demand for healthier, more balanced lifestyles.
Air fryers remain hugely popular, along with blenders and juicers that retain nutrients.
Energy-bill conscious
Finally, with rising energy bills and an increased focus on sustainability, people are turning to appliances that help reduce power consumption and keep costs down.
More people are finding joy in cooking at home as a cost-effective
way to enjoy delicious, nutritious meals. Cooking at home doesn’t just save money—it’s also a fun way to bring the family together or experiment with new recipes.
With the right tools, such as multi-functional appliances and smart kitchen gadgets, creating meals at home becomes easier, faster, and more satisfying.
“They look amazing, great job,” another added.
“Love them!!!” a third said.
“Awesome job,” someone else gushed.
