HOLLYOAKS is bringing ANOTHER character back from the dead for James Sutton’s exit storyline.

The soap is pulling out all the stops for the John Paul McQueen star’s upcoming final storyline after the actor quit the soap.

However after telling bosses he was ready to leave, they began crafting a storyline to pay tribute to the character’s various trials and tribulations over the two decades.

His final story will see a ‘what if?’ element explore what would have happened if he had made different choices over the years.

Actor David Tag has filmed scenes for the episode as Sylver McQueen, four years after his on-screen death.

“Sylver is returning as part of the special McQueen episode featuring fantasy scenes,” a source told Digital Spy .

“The episode has a ‘What If?’ theme, exploring various scenarios which could have changed the course of the McQueens’ lives over the years.

“John Paul is questioning his life choices and is asking what could have been different.

“David filmed some very entertaining scenes with James Sutton, who plays John Paul, and it was great to see him back on set after such a long absence.”
