FORMER Hollyoaks star Jessica Ellis described dating as a “deep hell” after she was sent a pay request from a Hinge date.

on the soap from 2013 to 2018 and recently matched with a person on the dating app Hinge.

The actress shared a screenshot from of a WhatApp chat between herself and her date.

The pic showed a money request from banking app Monzo for £25 and then Jessica replying by asking, “Is that a request for dinner?”

She did not include the person’s reply but captioned the photo posted to her Instagram stories with: “Stop the world Hinge I want to get off!”

Jessica then followed up that post by asking her 182,000 followers if they were interested in getting a series about “the deep hell that is dating in your late 30s? The full tea on previous story.”

She also asked her fans to share their dating horror stories with her.

The actress’ doomed date comes three years after she split from her fiancé Matt Shaw.

He had first popped the question in 2021, but the pair decided not to move ahead with marriage just two years later.

Jessica departed in 2018 and revealed at the time that she had to keep her shock exit a secret for six months.

In the storyline, her character was crushed by a falling tree, and it’s been a heartbreaking exit for her too.

Speaking to The Sun at the time, Jessica said: “I’m so sad. It was really sad because we’re actually really good friends and they have become my family.”
