And now with the first look video being released as part of the soap’s new spring trailer it has been confirmed that she’s playing a character last seen in the village 22 years ago.
Rebecca is playing Beth Keane who will arrive alongside husband Jonah – but longtime fans will know her as Bethany Johnson.
She was last seen in the village in 2004 when Jack Osborne donated a kidney to her having discovered he was her biological father.
Her mum, Dawn Cunningham was just 16 when she had an affair with best friend Ruth’s father Jack – giving birth to daughter Bethany and giving her up for adoption in secret.
Beth’s return to the village will be a surprise for Jack – especially as ahead of their move they get into a devastating car crash with Jack’s grandson Charlie at the wheel.

Villain Clare Devine makes her shock return next week as she escapes from prison determined to take revenge on her grandfather Froggy.
