GEORDIE Shore’s Holly Hagan has revealed her son’s terrifying medical emergency – and begged fans to watch out for similar warning signs.
The show alum, who is , took to to alert fans to her toddler Alpha-Jax Blyth’s recent health woe.

, 33, uploaded two different snaps of the youngster, aged two, which captured his swollen and droopy eye clearly.
While one peeper remained fully open, the other was almost completely closed.
The TV star uploaded the images after having taken Alpha Jax to the doctor for some medication, which he was struggling to swallow down due to the taste.
She has now urged fellow parents or guardians to take action “urgently” should a similar circumstance occur.
In a lengthy caption, the favourite wrote: “If your child’s eye or even your eye does this you need to seek medical attention urgently.
“He has no other symptoms, completely normal within himself.
“We initially thought conjunctivitis and were advised to go to the chemist.
“He hadn’t had any eye gunk at all since he woke up so they just sent us back to the doctor, I initially thought he’s irritated it and got a bit of an infection in it, but the doctor said peri orbital cellulitis.
“He’s never had antibiotics before so I asked if we were able to wait and see if it would clear on its own (I didn’t know what cellulitis was at this point) and she said no this is really important its treated urgently”.
Periorbital cellulitis is an infection of the eyelid and area around the eye.
It is often caused by stemming from scratches, bug bites and infections.
It can also follow a minor injury to the eye.
According to Kingston and Richmond NHS, and supporting Holly’s words, it can advance dangerously if not treated.
They state: “Very occasionally, periorbital cellulitis can progress to orbital cellulitis.
“This is more likely in children than adults, who are also harder to clinically assess. Orbital cellulitis (an infection of soft tissues in the orbit) is a surgical emergency with significant complications.
“These include loss of vision, abscess formation, venous sinus thrombosis and extension to intracranial infection with subdural empyema, and meningitis”.
Holly continued in her message: “A lot of parents said they waited and ended up in hospital as it spread to orbital cellulitis.
“His eye is much better today and doesn’t seem to be worsening but I just wanted to share as I didn’t think it was anything serious, and it can be if not treated”.
