Two additional individuals lost their lives – one from a police bullet – and three others were rushed to the hospital during the incident, which spanned just seven minutes, occurring on the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.

Alan Levy stated he was in the car park when he witnessed Al-Shamie, whom he referred to as a “jihadist monster.”

Speaking to Sky News , he recounted: “I was there when he crashed his car into the synagogue gates, ran down the security guard present, and assaulted a volunteer security guard while attempting to gain access to the synagogue.”

Alan then rushed into the synagogue and assisted in securing it.

He and others collaborated to barricade the doors and prevent the attacker, who was “shoulder-charging the doors trying to get in,” from entering.

He continued, “He was throwing plant pots at the glass and using a knife to try and break in.”

“These brave men effectively saved the community from further harm.”

Alan mentioned that his primary concern was, “we’ve got to keep these doors closed.”

He described how Al-Shamie was “trying each door in succession,” necessitating that the congregation apply pressure to each door to stop him from getting inside.

The two victims have been identified as Adrian Daulby, 53, a member of the congregation, and Melvin Cravitz, 66, a worshipper at the synagogue.

Victim of the synagogue terror attack suffered a gunshot wound when armed police took down the knifeman during the rampage.

Alan’s son, Marc, also shared with Sky politics correspondent Nick Martin about the moment he first learned of the attack, stating “it’s impossible to express the worry” as he awaited news of his family's safety.

Marc mentioned he has been attending the synagogue since childhood and was aware that his father was on duty at that time.

He then saw his father on television coverage and realized he was safe.

Six individuals have been arrested in connection with the attack, although two of them have since been released without charges.

Authorities revealed that Al-Shamie was on bail for a suspected rape at the time of the rampage, although the Home Office has stated he was not on the radar of counter-terrorism authorities.

The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) is investigating Greater Manchester Police’s response to the shooting and will assess “whether police may have caused or contributed to the death” of Mr. Daulby.

Al-Shamie, 35, reportedly of Syrian descent, obtained British citizenship in 2006 after arriving in the country as a young child.

Armed officers shot him amid concerns that he was wearing an explosive device, which was later confirmed to be fake.

It has come to light that, according to a source, the extremist had converted to Islam.

Elizabeth Davis, 46, is said to have informed her family about him only after the

Al-Shamie’s first marriage reportedly ended six months ago.

It cannot be confirmed whether Elizabeth, a mother of five, was legally his second wife.
