HELEN Flanagan has opened up about the perils of motherhood in a candid new post, revealing she broke down in tears during one difficult moment this week.

The Coronation Street actress, who is mum to Matilda, Delilah and Charlie, also for his lack of involvement with the children over the summer.

Taking to Instagram, Helen, 36, shared a collection of snaps from a day at Chester Zoo with her brood.

And while she says it was a fun day out, the star also took the opportunity to open up about how tough she’s been finding the summer holidays – and claim that ex Scott hasn’t looked after the kids for a month.

Helen, wrote: “I’m really overwhelmed in the house there is still so much unpacking and boxes so it’s chaos and I can’t return any of my emails or phone calls with these two 💀

Matilda had her settling in at secondary school and mum held the fort there x My mum and dad are amazing and help me so much with juggling the kids activities and whenever I need to work x”.

Swiping at her ex, Helen continued: “The kids dad has not had them for nearly a month so when he does I’ll get a break x I think I speak for all mums over the school holidays- we are tired but love them so much and so many amazing memories made x“.

Continuing, Helen – – admitted she’s finding it difficult to be herself whilst life is so full on with the kids.

The star said she couldn’t wait to get back to the gym, tidy her house and see her friends again.

I love them so much and I’m so grateful for my children but I just feel like mummy completely and I want to find Helen too soon x [sic]

I’m neurodivergent and I think all three of my kids are so it can be challenging regulating them, when its a challenge to regulate yourself,” wrote Helen.

Admitting it all came to a head before the zoo trip, Helen said she had an emotional moment: “I was in tears before we left the house as i misplaced my house key and couldn’t lock up, I just wanted to give them a nice day and Charlie found it in the boot 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

It’s important to fill your cup and I’m hoping to get out a bit for the bank holiday, especially for pride 😍“.
