PASSENGERS have been alerted to significant disruptions and travel issues at Heathrow Airport.
Police were called to Terminal 3 following reports of an “incident” in the multi-storey car park.
Tunnels have been closed, with the London Underground and Elizabeth Lines suspended amid the chaos.
The affected lines include those between Shenfield and Abbey Wood, as well as from Heathrow Terminal 4 to Terminal 5.
In addition, Heathrow Express services connecting London Paddington to Heathrow Terminal 5 have also faced disruptions.
Travel disruptions are anticipated to persist this morning, with cancellations expected until around midday.
Perplexed passengers have expressed their frustrations online.
One user posted on X: “What’s happened at Heathrow? Why are all the trains arriving and departing from Heathrow cancelled?”
A spokesperson for Heathrow Airport informed The Sun: “Our teams are coordinating with emergency services regarding an incident in the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3.
“We will provide updates shortly.”
A representative from National Rail stated: “The lines have reopened, allowing trains to serve Heathrow Airport following the emergency services' response to an incident at the airport.
“Although the lines are now operational, disruptions are expected to continue as services normalize, with delays of up to 10 minutes and cancellations anticipated until 11:45.”
