A “HIGHLY-SKILLED” heart surgeon who revealed himself to be a “twisted” sexual predator has been struck off the register.
Dr Amal Bose molested five junior employees at Lancashire Cardiothoracic Centre in Blackpool between 2017 and 2022.

Bose preyed on five female colleagues over the five-year period, hiding his despicable behaviour “in plain sight”.
The predatory surgeon regularly commented on women’s appearances, referring to one as “fresh meat” and others as “shaggable” on a WhatsApp group.
He also touched women’s breasts, groin and waists while passing it off as accidental.
One of his victims began self-harming to deal with the trauma – which he played down as “banter” – while another reported suffering from anxiety following the abuse.

The “predatory” surgeon was described as the root cause of the department’s “toxic and sexualised culture”.
The assaults had “severe impacts” on the women, with some having to take time off work and another even leaving the role entirely.
Bose was convicted of 12 counts of sexual assault at Preston Crown Court on June 19 last year.
He was sentenced at the same court to six years in prison and placed on the sex offenders’ register on September 16.
Now Bose has been struck off the medical register following a hearing at the Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service (MPTS) on July 31.
Following the sentencing, Judge Ian Unsworth KC described his vile acts as “sexually charged, targeted and predatory”.
He said: “On the evidence before me I am satisfied so that I am sure that you used your exalted position to facilitate your sexual offending.
“To the outside you were a highly skilled and sometimes popular cardiac surgeon.
“The reality is that you were a sexual predator hiding in plain sight.”
The case was taken to a Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service hearing, where Bose was let go due to his convictions being “fundamentally incompatible” with registration.
He had been previously called a man of good character, with the tribunal noting that he was a “good cardiac surgeon”.
The tribunal concluded: “The tribunal determined that the conviction fell towards the higher end of the spectrum of seriousness.
“The tribunal also took into account that the doctor was working in a difficult and pressurised environment at times where colleagues have said that workplace banter was required stress relief.”
It added that the environment should not have impacted how he “physically treated and spoke about colleagues”.
It said: “The tribunal noted that Dr Bose had found it difficult to explain why he acted as he did save for describing his behaviour as ‘banter’.
It concluded that Bose posed an ongoing risk to the public.
After the criminal proceedings concluded, Sacha Coyne, Senior Crown Prosecutor for CPS North West’s Rape and Serious Sexual Offence Unit, said: “Amal Bose was in a trusted position at the hospital.
“He appeared not to recognise the serious and lasting impact his actions would have, describing his behaviour at trial as ‘workplace banter’.
“This case should send a clear message to perpetrators of sexual abuse, the Crown Prosecution Service will not hesitate to prosecute abusers, regardless of the position that the abuser holds in society.”
