Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed sorrow over the death of elder statesman and renowned businessman, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, describing him as a father figure to many.

Recall that Dantata passed away in Abu Dhabi at the age of 94.

In a statement released on Saturday and signed by his spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor said the late Dantata was not just a successful entrepreneur but also a man of compassion whose influence went far beyond the business world.

“Alhaji Aminu Dantata was not just a successful entrepreneur but a father figure and source of hope to many,”; Governor Yusuf said.

He noted that Dantata’s generosity, commitment to community growth, and years of support for development across Kano and beyond have left a lasting impact.

“His lifelong dedication to philanthropy and development efforts has left an indelible mark on Kano and the nation at large,”; the governor added.

Yusuf described the elder statesman’s passing as a great loss to both Kano State and Nigeria as a whole.

He prayed for Allah’s mercy on Dantata’s soul and encouraged his family to take comfort in the legacy he left behind.
