JOEY ESSEX is set to take on Numeiro in a HUGE clash on Misfits Series X 22 this Saturday.

Reality TV star Joey rose to fame in the UK after appearing on The Only Way is Essex , before going on to appear on other shows, such as I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!

The 35-year-old will be hoping to better his Love Island performance, and not get knocked out as he takes on Numeiro.

Numeiro, AKA Joao Barbosa, comes into the clash with a record of 0-1-0, having lost against Kalin Simeonov in Portugal.

The pair meet on the undercard of Ring of Thrones, which will see Darren Till take on Luke Rockhold at the AO Arena in Manchester.

MISFITS boxing is back for an absolutely massive card this weekend.

There’s a massive fight card from the AO Arena in Manchester, with the event starring a mix of UFC legends, Misfits icons – and two TOWIE stars!

Ring of Thrones, as the night has been dubbed, is headlined by a meeting of two former UFC stars in Darren Till and Luke Rockhold.

Former UFC champ Tony Ferguson is also making his debut for the promotion and puts his legacy on the line against Salt Papi, who has impressed in the ring and won his last three fights by TKO.

A packed night sees reality TV star cousins Joey Essex and Demi Sims make their boxing debuts.

Demi’s dad Tony has trained the likes of Anthony Joshua and Conor Benn and is Matchroom Sport’s head coach.

MMA upstart Dillon Danis is also back on the card, as well as Misfits regulars such as Ty Mitchell, Chase DeMoor and Amir Anderson.

Has Joey Essex ever boxed before?

No, Joey Essex has never boxed before.

His cousin Demi Sims was scheduled to fight on the KSI vs Dillon Danis card , but the clash was cancelled after KSI pulled out.

Essex’s clash against Numeiro will be his first boxing event, and is set to come on Misfits Series X 22.

Numeiro, otherwise known as Joao Barbosa, has a record of 0-1-0.

The reality TV star has already set his eyes on mouthwatering clashes against Jake Paul , KSI and Tommy Fury , should he beat Numeiro.

Both Joey and Demi come from boxing royalty, with her father Tony the head coach for Matchroom Sport.

He has been in the corner for some of the biggest stars in the sport, including Anthony Joshua and Conor Benn.

Joey and Demi are expected to have some level of skill given their heritage in the sport.

He revealed to SunSport that he has turned down TV opportunities to focus on his training – and is in the gym six days a week.

He said: “I guess it’s a change of career, which is so weird to say. The plan at the minute is to get bigger and better fights.

“This is just for me, I’m just looking at this like the start, like the start of something big. I’m taking one step at a time.

“Get this fight out the way, relax and I’ll be straight back here, straight back in the gym. I ain’t gonna have too much time off.

“I wanna get straight back into it. I’m here to take over.”
