But after leading six teams to victory across his career, Harry told The Sun: “I think I’ll probably retire myself off.

“I think I’d better get rid of me now, yeah.

“We won this year so you know, that might be it for me.

“I’ll bow out. Best to go out at the top rather than being booted out for getting beat again or something.”

Harry, who has bossed Tottenham, West Ham, QPR and Birmingham during his stellar football manager career, first got involved with Soccer Aid back in 2008.

He has famously “hopped the fence” to manage both sides in a total of nine matches while returning on and off over the years.

This year he buddied up with to pick the winning team – with stunning goals from former England striker and actors Chris O’Dowd and Damson Idris.

“Me and Bradley were like a dream team,” says Harry, who turns 80 in March.

“We picked the winning team between us. Bradley was fantastic and just having a few days with Bradley was worth all the money.”

Harry laughed: “It would be lovely to be in on the action for the World Cup, but I had Soccer Aid instead.”

While he’s not in the US helping for the first time since 1966, Harry has been signed by online supermarket Ocado for the world’s biggest football tournament.

He launched Ocado’s Half-Time Delivery bundles – designed to ensure football fans don’t miss out on a minute of match day action, for a limited time only.

In a hilarious new advert, Harry recreates some of his most recognisable tropes before delivering a rousing pep talk about the bundles offering three food and drink packages inspired by the tournament’s participating nations.

Some lucky customers able to claim a free, tournament-inspired food and drink package here will be delivered during the half-time window of one of England’s first three games.

Harry said: “Football’s always been about bringing people together – you get your mates round, stick the game on, have some good food, a few drinks, all set for the big match. And Ocado knows match days aren’t just about what happens on the pitch, it’s all about delivering food for the fans too.

“I absolutely loved working with the Ocado drivers and giving them a half-time team talk. What they do is just like football – you need positive energy, great timing, and everyone pulling together. If you can deliver under pressure on match day, you’re my kind of player!”
