THE SPOOKY season is right around the corner, with trick-or-treaters patiently waiting for next Friday.
If you’re planning to celebrate next week but haven’t found a costume yet, fake blood is always a safe solution you can’t go wrong with.

However, if your local store has run out of this October staple, fear not – as one woman’s come to rescue with a simple fix.
The remedy takes seconds, calls for just two – and will wash off easily with no mess.
Nicole, who goes by @ veganbeautygirl , took to TikTok where she revealed how two basic haircare products can create fake blood with no faff.
According to the vegan influencer, you’ll only need a brown , as well as red hairspray, which you can find at your local branch for just £2.
Although Nicole used Superdrug’s own-brand dry shampoo which sells for £3.50, you can find a cheaper alternative at rival Boots for a mere £1.80.
Dropping the tutorial to her followers, Nicole said in the video : ”You want to start off with the brown dry shampoo.
”This one is gonna add depth to the wound and give it that sort of dried blood look too.”
Once you’ve sprayed the dry shampoo onto your forehead – or wherever you want the DIY wound to be – it’s time to go in with the red hair spray.
A few sprays should be enough for that fake blood look – however, you can go wild and give it a few extra sprays to make the ”blood” drip for a more realistic appearance.
”Look how easy that is,” said Nicole, who added she’s been following this method for ”years”.
”It’s so much better than buying that weird fake blood stuff that feels gross, it looks gross – whereas this just looks pretty convincing.
”You can also put it on your hand and just leave blood marks on yourself.
”I love it because it’s simple, it is easy – you’re welcome.”
The TikToker, who said this was her ”favourite Halloween hack”, went on in the comments: ”If you ever host a Halloween party it’s fun to have on hand for lazy guests who need extra spook.”
How to save on Halloween

PAY LESS FOR FACE PAINTS: Cut costs by using your old eyeliners and eyeshadows, and dab on some talc when you need a ghostly white shade.
CUT-PRICE CANDY: Before you buy to give out as , clear out your cupboards and see what you have. If you need more, shop bulk deals and compare the price per kilo before you buy.

FRIGHTENING FREEBIES: Sign up for a free local Halloween event. Check your local Nextdoor or Facebook pages, or search eventbrite.co.uk for ideas.
BLOODY GOOD DEAL: Don’t fork out for expensive fake blood. Make your own edible version instead. You can use it for cakes and to decorate costumes.
SHOP ON NOV 1: Be organised and bag the bargains for next year by hitting the shops the day after Halloween. Remember to buy your kids’ costumes a size larger to allow for growth.
According to the Nicole, who boasts more than 109k followers, the fake blood also ”washes off easily enough” – however, it will stain your clothing, she warned.

”This is so creative,” wrote one person.
”Blows my mind every time u do this,” another chimed in.
”Wait this is so good,” someone else commented, adding they were keen to ”think of a way to incorporate this” in their leopard outfit.
