Gunmen have abducted a medical doctor, Dr. Abdullahi Dangulbi, in Zamfara State.

The abduction was disclosed on Thursday by security analyst Zagazola Makama in a post on his official X handle.

According to the report, Dr. Dangulbi, who is attached to Anka General Hospital in Anka Local Government Area, was kidnapped on Wednesday, at about 11:30 a.m.

He was reportedly seized by armed men at Tashar Kalgo village, shortly after Jangebe town in Talata Mafara Local Government Area, while travelling from Anka to Gusau, the state capital.

Authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident, and it remains unclear whether any contact has been made with the kidnappers or if a ransom demand has been issued.
