The Nigeria Reputation Management Group (NRMG) has urged Nigerians to take responsibility for the country's reputation, emphasizing that it is shaped by the conduct, integrity, and values of every citizen.

The Chairman of NRMG, Yomi Badejo-Okusanya, released a statement to commemorate the inaugural Nigeria Reputation Day on October 15, 2025, themed “Better Reputation, Better Nigeria.” He highlighted five essential pillars for enhancing the nation's reputation.

He stated, “Let us align our M-Factor with integrity to make Nigeria unstoppable. Let us create music that conveys messages of dignity, films that inspire and entertain, media that promotes truth, fashion that reflects pride with purpose, and minds that lead with clarity, conscience, and courage.”

Badejo-Okusanya declared that NRMG is dedicated to guiding, supporting, and collaborating with citizens to restore and safeguard Nigeria’s national character. He noted, “The group envisions a Nigeria where culture and character progress in harmony, earning respect and attracting opportunities.”

“Nigeria Reputation Day will be observed annually on October 15 as a national reminder that integrity and reputation are the cornerstones of progress. Each year, Nigerians will reaffirm their commitment to honor, trust, and uphold the values that make Nigeria exceptional,” the NRMG chairman asserted.

He acknowledged that while Nigeria encounters genuine challenges, NRMG believes these obstacles are not insurmountable. By acting differently, persistently, and collaboratively, Nigerians can create a nation that reflects the greatness inherent within them.

Okusanya remarked, “Our national image will not be determined solely by headlines but by the quiet consistency of millions choosing to do what is right.”
