Published on June 11, 2025 at 06:20 PM

A traffic gridlock occurred in part of Kano after a patrol tanker fell along Gwarzo road on Wednesday.
The incident occurred near Rijiyar Zaki where the tanker fell into a ditch after it lost balance trying to offload petrol.

The unfortunate incident has caused a traffic hold-up, however security personnel have been taken to the site.

Reports say commuters from Bayero University to along Kabuga road are in a fix as responders make efforts to resolve the issue.

As at now, emergency personnel are on site to keep people away from harm.

A fire service vehicle has also been deployed to the area.

In recent times, petrol tankers have caused major havoc, falling and bursting into flames in some Northern states, including Jigawa – a few hours drive from Kano where many were burnt to death.
