GRAEME SOUNESS has finally praised Paul Pogba in a hilarious social media video.

The Scotsman has long been openly critical of the former star.

Souness, 73, has now had a change of tune as he featured in a Paddy Power video ahead of ‘s third-place playoff against .

During his appearance, the Liverpool legend would only speak French to show his support against anybody that is England.

To prove himself, he was asked if he agreed that Pogba was one of the greatest ever talents from France.

To which he sighed: “Oui”.

Fans loved seeing Souness finally praise Pogba, even if it was for a social media video by Paddy Power.

One posted: “Getting Sounness to admit Pogba is a good player was diabolical.”

A second wrote: “The part haha.”

A third commented: “Through gritted teeth there Graeme.”

Souness was never quiet about his opinion on Pogba’s performances on and off the pitch.

He was often drawn into heated debates on Sky Sports with other pundits about the 2018 World Cup winner.

Even when Pogba would perform, Souness would play down the achievements.

The midfielder once managed four goal contributions against Leeds in the 2021-22 season.

And Souness simply said that is what should be “expected” from a player worth £100million.

Pogba was recently quizzed on Souness’ regular comments about him on during an appearance Rio Ferdinand Presents .

He took the chance to give the Scot a brutal swipe in response.

He said: “I didn’t know who he was. I heard he’s a legend.”

Pogba joined French side AS Monaco last summer on a contract that would run until June 2027.

The central midfielder when he sealed his move after a doping ban.
