“In reaffirming our commitment to transparent, accountable, and people-centered governance, we convened a Special Town Hall Meeting to discuss the Proposed 2026 Multi-Year Budget of N985.9 billion. This strategic fiscal plan includes N699.7 billion (71 percent) allocated for capital expenditure and N286.2 billion (29 percent) for recurrent spending.

“This gathering was not just a statutory requirement; it served as a democratic platform grounded in the belief that public finance should embody public consensus and collective aspirations.

“The discussions were intellectually stimulating and highly constructive. Representatives from civil society, traditional institutions, the Elders Council, faith leaders, youth groups, individuals with disabilities, the private sector, and grassroots organizations engaged with remarkable honesty and analytical insight.

“Their praise for the successful implementation of the 2025 Budget highlighted the tangible benefits of our initiatives, while their suggestions confirmed the maturity of Kaduna’s civic landscape.

“These insights will be carefully integrated into the final budget as we move forward in delivering Kaduna State’s 2026 Budget, which aims to consolidate rural transformation for inclusive development.

“The Town Hall also provided an opportunity to present a detailed two-year performance scorecard across key sectors. Our administration remains committed to enhancing service delivery, reinforcing institutional resilience, and fostering citizen participation as a fundamental aspect of democratic governance.
